Having been assured the electronics problem had been resolved, Sue and I departed shortly after 8 AM and headed out through the long narrow channel between the marina and the Corpus Christi ship channel. Within a half hour the auto pilot and chart plotter went bonkers again. We had to turn around and go back to the marina. After several hours of waiting the technician showed up and spent and hour or so working on the system followed but a sea trial and adjustments to the electronics. By then it was too late and we had to stay another night in Port Aransas. We had dinner with three other boating couples. Very interesting folks who definitely live outside the box. All of them have been boating for years and had some most interesting tales to tell.
We will attempt to get underway again early tomorrow morning to begin our adventure. I've had enough of Port Aransas.
Y'all stay vertical!

Well, you wanted an adventure...

Thanks for keeping us posted, Dad.
John, what do you mean we live outside the box? Guess we do, a house is a box and we live on our boat. It was very wonderful for you to share my 46th birthday with me. We really enjoyed Sue and your company for the short time you were here. But your comment about PA might give someone the wrong impression and scare the Winter Texans off and without the Winter Texans our shark and coyote population might starve. Geff & Rose
