Harvey, LA

This morning we departed Houma a little later than usual. However we had planned on a relatively short day.  The scenery was pretty much the same in the ICW until we were about half way to the Mississippi River and New Orleans. More active civilization began to appear. More homes had been rebuilt and were closer together. Passing through Lafitte was a nice experience with the newer homes and waterborne activity.  There were several air boats taking people for swamp tours.
We are presently tied off to a bulkhead in front a casino in Harvey,  LA. We made a quick visit to the Boomtown Casino and came back to the boat for dinner. It sure is nice to a reliable generator for electricity while we sit here, watch TV an blog.
This is about as close as we can get to the Harvey Lock which will is the last lock before the Mississippi River.  According to the cruising guides crossing the river and getting back into the ICW should be interesting.  I'll let you know how it goes.
Y'all stay vertical,

Capt John and First Mate Sue
and Colby, too.
