Today is the day we were to leave Padre Island and be under way. However, the weather forecast for today(Sunday) was not favorable or crossing Corpus Christi Bay. And yes, the forecast for a frontal passage around midnight was right on and the weather has definatily taken a change. So we experienced our first flex from original plan due to weather and whatever else comes up. Henry Quigley and I moved the boat to Port Aransas Saturday afternoon while Sue was shopping for provisions. We still had the rented car from the airport and Sue drove to Port Aransas to join us at the boat. Today we will finish up whatever has to done with the car and return to the airport.
On the way to PA we experienced more growing pains with the boat and will be here for at least one extra day to resolve a recurring issue with the electronic navigation system. We may be able to leave here Monday afternoon.
I do not intend to Blog every day with boring details but I'd like to let you know when we are finally underway.
Y'all stay vertical,
J & S
You DO have other backup navigation systems on board, don't you...just in case? You might wind up in Houston via the Ship Channel by mistake.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you and Sue!! The details aren't boring - they are vital and I'm eager to read them.
